Just finished chapter one. What an experience! The interactive infographics are unbelievably great & unfolding photos feels just right! With Push Pop Press, the future of digital publishing has arrived!

This book is incredible. Every book for the iPad should be designed like this. Magazine and book publishers take note!
I am not an Eco fanboy, and I usually look for deeper content when reading about serious subject matters such as global warming. However, this is the first truly interactive book I have come across on iTunes. The integration of text, video and explorable pictures is seamless. The presentation may not be deeply scientific, but it gets the point across to the user. This is a perfect classroom tool to engage teens into such a serious subject matter. For the ability to engage the reader and the fact that the price is not simply making someone rich, I give this 5 stars.
Incredible app, this is the evolution of books. Push Pop publishing as started something great with this interactive ebook. Cant wait to see what else they can do.

Some bad moments

The menus at the bottom of each page just dont appear. Even after the downloading is completed. Wth ?
This app needs WiFi. Something that you are not told. All you get for your $4.99 download is a three minute speech by Al Gore. :( and nothing more. The word "Refund" comes to mind.
What an ALMOST flawless piece of work Our Choice has appeared before me. I heard about it on a TED talk while Mike Mattas was making a demo of it. I immediately went to the AppStore to buy it. It is one of the greatest use of hardware and screen space I have seen. However, I was so astonished that I wanted to try this new approach myself over existing solutions like Adobe InDesign, although I consider it already as a truly powerful and reliable solution. Perhaps I wanted to get inspired, maybe just to try out and see. BUT!!! Push Pop Press have sold themselves to the worst entity the world has known ever. They sold their souls to Facebook!!! They even abandoned the private beta project for developers to explore this idea. That means no more development in the horizon from their part. Only one book, then its over. Although it is a great piece of execution, it remains one of the biggest heartburn to learn something like that. What a monumental waste. Imagine a truly creative company like Apple selling themselves then get lost into something as low-fi and gross as Microsoft? I dont believe it. Well this is THEIR CHOICE. And it ruins EVERYTHING. It was so exciting in the first place. Probably as much as the first time I watched an italian firework show on a summer night. But then, suddenly, it became part of the largest moron magnet in the world. Just like that. It could have been one of the funniest platforms a designer could have dreamed of for publishing sophisticated content on an emerging new platform, but no! OF COURSE FB can make better use of it. {especially looking at what they are doing now} I wrote this in case someone start to get as high as I got before learning about this sad enough truth. Thanks for reading though.
I downloaded the extra contents, but I cant open them, under each chapter I have just a black image, and nothing selectable
Have downloaded both on iPad and on iPhone and there is NO audio! Is this maybe due to the new 5 version? Please fix this asap. Thanks Cat
I saw the film he did a few years back and while it was nothing new in knowing about the problems, it was an in your face representation. This is a compelling interactive literary work that I and my 3rd grader are really enjoying.
